I have worked with English/Spanish learners ranging from age 6 to about 60. My first jobs
involved working with large groups. Later in my career, I preferred smaller groups, and even
individual classes. My favorite type of class would be a group of motivated students who can

I have worked with English/Spanish learners ranging from age 6 to about 60. My first jobs
involved working with large groups. Later in my career, I preferred smaller groups, and even
individual classes. My favorite type of class would be a group of motivated students who can
challenge my knowledge and effort. I have been active as a foreign language teacher for about 19
years now. I adapt to my students' needs, i.e.: if your profession or field of study is medical, I will
adapt our class contents to that field.
I follow the principles of Andragogy with my language students.
He trabajado con alumnos de inglés y español entre 6 y 60 años de edad. Mis primeros trabajos
los realicé con grupos grandes, de hasta 50 alumnos; más tarde en mi carrera me especialicé en
grupos reducidos y clases individuales. Mis alumnos favoritos son aquéllos que saben sacar partido
del conocimiento que puedo compartir. He estado activo como profesor de idiomas por 19 años a
la fecha. Me adapto a las necesidades de mis alumnos, por ejemplo, si tu campo es la medicina, me
adaptaré a los contenidos que necesitas para la clase.
Sigo los principios de la Andragogía con mis alumnos de idiomas.
My favorite kind of methodology is using technology (computers, smartphones, tablets) to share digital
and on line materials with my students. We follow a structure, but we also see topics that can be of
interest according to each class (videos, online tutorials, forums). The point is having a
structured class with lots of extra elements to enhance my students' learning experience. (Books are
welcome, but not essential for the class.)
Mi enfoque para la clase es el uso de la tecnología (computadoras, smartphones, tabletas) para trabajar
con materiales digitales y en línea. Seguimos una estructura en la clase, pero también agregamos
elementos adicionales como videos, tutoriales en línea,foros, etc.) El punto es contar con una estructura
determinada + elementos adicionales para optimizar la experiencia en clase. (Los libros son bienvenidos,
pero no son esenciales para la clase.)
